Why I Should Not Have a Job
The job of a Special Education Advocate is one that, in an ideal world, shouldn’t exist. I help families navigate the world of special education aka "Holland" but parents shouldn’t need a guide to find their way. If every IEP team led with compassion, inclusion, and honesty, my role wouldn’t be necessary. Until that day comes, I’ll keep advocating to make “Holland” a place where every child belongs.
